Tallymile

Privacy Policy

Effective 6 October 2026 · Eutopix Labs P.S.A. · Tallymile

Tallymile logs your drives. That is sensitive information, so the app is built so that the developer does not receive it.

The short version

  • There is no account and no sign-up.
  • Tallymile contains no third-party SDKs and no analytics or advertising code. It does not track you.
  • Location and motion are processed on your iPhone.
  • Your drives are stored on your iPhone and, if iCloud is turned on, in your private iCloud.
  • Eutopix Labs does not operate a server that receives your drives.

What the app uses and why

Location (Always). Used to detect when a drive starts and ends and to record its route and distance. Processing happens on your iPhone.

Motion and Fitness. Used to tell driving from other movement, and to estimate a drive from motion history when location was not available. Processing happens on your iPhone.

Car Bluetooth and CarPlay. If you pair a car, Tallymile recognises its connection as a hint to start a drive. The app stores only the identity of the audio route you choose to pair, on your iPhone.

Drives and what you add. Dates, times, routes, distances, places, names, purposes, categories, vehicles, rules and rates are stored in the app on your iPhone.

iCloud

If iCloud is enabled for Tallymile, your data is kept in sync through CloudKit in your own private iCloud database, which is tied to your Apple Account. Eutopix Labs cannot read it. iCloud is governed by your agreement with Apple. You can turn it off in iOS Settings.

Apple Maps

To show place names and map tiles, the app asks Apple Maps services to look up coordinates and load maps. Apple therefore receives those coordinates under Apple’s own privacy policy. Eutopix Labs does not receive them.

On-device suggestions

Suggested drive purposes and classification hints are produced on your iPhone, using Apple Foundation Models where your device supports them and your own history otherwise. This text and your drive information never leave the device for this purpose.

Purchases

Subscriptions and purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Eutopix Labs does not receive your payment details or Apple Account information. The app checks your purchase status with StoreKit on your iPhone.

Notifications

Reminders and tracking-health alerts are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone. No push server is used.

Exports and sharing

PDF and CSV reports and field-test logs are created on your iPhone and leave it only when you choose a destination in the share sheet. The practices of that destination then apply.

Apple Watch, widgets and Siri

The Watch app, widgets, Live Activity, Control Center control and Siri shortcuts share data with the app on your devices. Requests to Siri are handled by Apple under its own policy.

Deleting your data

In the app, go to Settings and choose Delete all data to erase drives, places, rules and caches from your iPhone. If you used iCloud sync, the deletion syncs to your private iCloud database; you can also manage or remove app data in iOS Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Storage. Deleting the app removes its on-device data.

Children

Tallymile is a tool for people who drive for work and is not directed to children. We do not collect personal information from anyone.

Changes

If our data practices change, we will update this policy before the change ships and revise the effective date.
